B💋NN Reunion 2017
ALUMNI – joined this year for the community´s biggest event. For the All-Bonn American High School Reunion. They came home to Bonn, cought up with friends from the past; and lived the Spirit of BAHS.
One highlight hunts the next.
One highlight followed the next as alumni reveled in the joyous atmosphere of the reunion. From heartwarming conversations to laughter-filled memories, each moment was a testament to the strong bonds formed during their time at BAHS. The excitement of reconnecting with old friends, sharing stories, and celebrating their shared history created an unforgettable experience that truly embodied the spirit of our beloved school.

House of the History
The House of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany at the Museumsmeile in Bonn is a museum dedicated to German contemporary history since 1945. We had the privilege to investigate the hidden treasures.
Offset Oktoberfest
Theme-PARTYING ON THE “BASTEI STUBE”right next to the old Niederdollendorf ferry. Bavarian table-buffets so that everyone could choose according to their taste. Look at the great costumes!

Back to School
We had the pleasure of being guests at the Bonn International School, where the Board Chair graciously invited us to take a nostalgic journey down Memory Lane. Over coffee and cake, we reminisced about our time at BAHS, leaving with a profound sense of gratitude for the unique and privileged experience we all shared during our school years.
Rine Cruise
The Peace Museum Bridge at Remagen is located on the site of the famous Ludendorff Bridge, which played a key role in World War II. In March 1945, Allied forces captured the bridge, giving them a crucial crossing over the Rhine River into Germany. Though the bridge collapsed shortly after, this event significantly accelerated the end of the war. Today, the museum stands as a symbol of peace and reconciliation, showcasing exhibits about the bridge’s history, the war, and its aftermath. Visitors can explore the towers of the former bridge and learn about its lasting impact.

Winefest-dinner party
We fondly remember our delightful Winefest-themed dinner at the Bredershof in Königswinter. In a warm and inviting atmosphere, we enjoyed fine wines and delicious food that perfectly captured the festive spirit of the evening. Surrounded by great company and lively conversations, it was a celebration of the region’s rich wine culture – an experience that will remain with us for a long time.
Farewell Reflections: A Memorable Brunch in Bonn
Before bidding farewell, we indulged in a delightful brunch at bon(n)gou in the heart of Bonn, where we took a moment to reminisce and reflect on the wonderful days we had shared. Earlier that morning, some of us attended a meaningful church service at the American Protestant Church, adding a serene and thoughtful start to our final day together.

Warmth, happiness, comradery
Dear Friends,
It would be an understatement to say we are overwhelmed by the happiness and positive energy that filled our BAHS reunion this past weekend. As our dear friend Kanthati Supamongkhon put it so perfectly, the warmth, camaraderie, and good spirit each of you brought made our short but meaningful time together in Bonn truly unforgettable.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us by the Rhine. Your presence made this reunion special. We wish you safe travels and all the best in the days ahead. We hope to recreate this magic again in the future.
Warm hugs from all of us—Miram, Christian, Hans and Jürgen and of couse Clarrence the entire organizing team, and our Helpers. Until we meet again, wherever that may be!

„Because of the Second World War and the subsequent arrangements in Germany, we met and grew up together in one of the best American schools in the world, strategically located in this beautiful small town in Germany, called Bonn. Thanks to Hans Hahne, the Hahne family and everyone involved in organizing this best reunion ever!“
Kanthati Supamongkhon

It was one of the most wonderful times in my life to travel from home and get to meet friends whom we met in school 40 years ago and also wonderful new ones. We were so warmly welcomed and everything was perfectly arranged. My husband, Too was very happy and impressed!“
